Getting started
What MapleBuy is and how to turn it on.
What is MapleBuy?
MapleBuy is the commerce layer for MapleInventory. It turns the inventory you already track in MapleWorkSuite into a live storefront, so you can publish products, take orders, and accept payment without adding a separate store tool.
How does MapleBuy work with MapleInventory?
MapleBuy and MapleInventory are one product. MapleInventory is the inventory backend and system of record; MapleBuy is the storefront frontend on top of it. Every listing, stock update, and order flows through MapleInventory, so the store always reflects real stock.
Can I launch a storefront with MapleBuy?
Yes. MapleBuy lets you launch a storefront directly from your MapleInventory workspace. You choose the inventory you want to publish and go live without extra exports or rebuilding your catalogue somewhere else.
Do I need a separate platform to use MapleBuy?
No. MapleBuy runs inside MapleWorkSuite for MapleInventory teams. You enable it from your MapleWorkSuite billing settings and manage your storefront alongside your other Maple tools, without leaving the suite.
How do I enable MapleBuy?
Open your MapleWorkSuite billing settings and enable MapleBuy on the MapleInventory plan. Once enabled, you can connect your inventory workspace, turn on payments, and publish your storefront from inside the suite.
Selling & orders
Listings, payments, shipping, and bookkeeping.
How do I build my product catalogue and listings?
Your catalogue comes from MapleInventory. Each product you already track can be published as a storefront listing with its description, price, and images. You manage products once in MapleInventory and they appear in the store, so there is no second catalogue to maintain.
How do orders flow into my accounting?
MapleBuy shares orders back to MapleInvoice and MapleExpense. Sales records and related costs move into the rest of MapleWorkSuite automatically, so your bookkeeping reflects store activity instead of living in a disconnected system you have to re-key.
What payment methods does MapleBuy support?
MapleBuy connects to a payment provider so you can accept Canadian payments on your storefront, with Interac as a familiar option for Canadian shoppers. You enable a provider once and start collecting payment on orders.
How do I set up payments on my storefront?
From your MapleWorkSuite settings you connect a payment provider to your storefront, confirm it, and turn it on. After that, checkout collects payment on each order and the order flows into MapleInventory and your accounting like any other sale.
How does MapleBuy handle shipping?
You set how orders are fulfilled and shipped, and order status is tracked alongside the order record in MapleInventory. Because orders, stock, and fulfilment status live together, you can see what has been ordered and what still needs to go out without a separate tracker.
Inventory & sync
Stock, channels, and where things run.
How does MapleBuy track inventory and stock levels?
Stock is held in MapleInventory as the single source of truth. When an order comes in, stock counts adjust against MapleInventory automatically, so your storefront shows what is actually available and you avoid overselling items you no longer have.
Does MapleBuy keep my orders and inventory in sync?
Yes. Orders sync automatically and your listings, stock, and pricing stay anchored to MapleInventory, which remains your system of record. You do not have to reconcile a separate storefront tool against your stockroom by hand.
Can MapleBuy sync products across more than one sales channel?
Yes. Because every listing and stock level lives in MapleInventory, the same products can be published to your storefront from one source. Selling across more than one channel draws on the same inventory record, so stock counts stay consistent instead of drifting per channel.
Can I connect my storefront to a site built with Maple.Website?
Yes. MapleBuy works with Maple.Website, so a site you build there can link to or front your MapleBuy storefront. Your products, stock, and checkout still run through MapleInventory and MapleBuy underneath.
Where is my storefront hosted?
Your MapleBuy storefront is hosted as part of MapleWorkSuite on Canadian infrastructure. There is no separate hosting account to manage; the store runs alongside your other Maple tools.
Pricing & plans
Cost, free trial, tax, and limits.
Does MapleBuy handle Canadian pricing and tax?
Yes. MapleBuy is built for Canadian transactions and maintains Canadian pricing and tax workflows, so your storefront is set up to price and tax orders for selling in Canada from the start.
Is there a free way to try MapleBuy?
Yes. You can create a free MapleWorkSuite account and join the beta program to explore MapleBuy and MapleInventory before committing. There is no cost to sign up and look around.
What does MapleBuy cost?
MapleBuy is enabled on your MapleInventory plan inside MapleWorkSuite, so it is billed as part of your MapleWorkSuite subscription rather than as a separate platform fee. You can start free and see current pricing tiers in your MapleWorkSuite billing settings.
Are there product or listing limits on each plan?
Plan tiers govern how much you can publish and run through your storefront. The free and entry options are sized for getting started, and you move up a tier as your catalogue and order volume grow. Current limits per tier are shown in your MapleWorkSuite billing settings.
Account & data
Access, security, exports, and support.
Can I export my data or cancel?
Yes. Your products, stock, and order records live in MapleInventory inside MapleWorkSuite and can be exported. You can cancel MapleBuy from your MapleWorkSuite billing settings; cancelling the storefront does not delete the inventory records it was built on.
Who can see and manage my storefront?
Access follows your MapleWorkSuite account, so only the people on your team you grant access to can manage listings, payments, and orders. The storefront is tied to your workspace rather than open to anyone in the suite.
How is my store and customer data kept secure?
MapleBuy runs on Canadian-hosted infrastructure with Canadian data residency, and your store data stays within your MapleWorkSuite account. Payment is handled through a connected payment provider, so sensitive payment details are processed by that provider rather than stored loosely in the store.
Is MapleBuy Canadian-owned and hosted in Canada?
Yes. MapleBuy is built, owned, and serviced in Canada by Joel & Nanz Inc., a New Brunswick company, and runs on Canadian-hosted infrastructure with Canadian data residency. It is designed for Canadian businesses operating in Canada.
